February, 2007 Bogota, Colombia
A Course in Miracles International has begun MPM's 12 -Step Spiritual Recovery “A Way Out ” program in the Bogotá jails this month. A former Colombian Judge is now helping the teachers enter into the prison system. “Instead of sending people to jail, I help them to leave” she commented. About 60 inmates participated in the first class, and many are signing up for the program!

Though there are many programs already in force, “A Way Out” has been welcomed there. Other prisons/jails will be included as the program expands.

April 18-21, 2007 "The Gandhi/King Peace Train"
This event will begin with an Amtrak train ride from Los Angeles to San Jose. Once there, a conference will be held for 2 days and then a return train trip.  MPM  has been asked speak at the conference and on the train!  4 twenty minute talks will be given in the Amtrak train cars during the ride to San Jose, then a 90 minute program at the conference. Dr. Stef, our Church president and doctor who has worked at Dodge prison the last 5 years, will also attend. Our Peace booklet will be given out.

Based on the philosophy of non-violence of Martin Luther King and Gandhi, the Association for Global New Thought wants faith-based prison work represented there. Many prominent individuals who are in high service to mankind will be there, such as Gandhi's family and Martin Luther King's daughter.  The hope is that California prisons will want our 'A Way Out' program in their facilities.  Please visit their website for more informatin and to support their work: www.agnt.org

"I was naked, and you gave me clothing.
I was sick, and you cared for me.
I was in prison, and you visited me."
Then these righteous ones will reply,
"Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? When did we ever see you sick or in prison, and visit you?" And the King will tell them, "I assure you, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!"

Matthew 25:36
